"The Massacre Of 19 Innocent Hausa Fulanis In Anambra And 9 Soldiers In Rivers Is Unacceptable, I Condemn Both"- FFK

Dr. Femi- Fan Kayode, Former minister of aviation under president Goodluck Jonathan
The news making waves in the country at the moment is about the killing of 19 Hausa Fulanis in a particular part of Anambra state and also the massacre of 9 Nigerian soldiers in Rivers state. This troubling news came a day after an IPOB commander was killed alongside 6 other IPOB members in a joint operation carried out by the Nigerian police, troops of the Nigerian army and DSS. Nigeria in recent days has seen a lot of violence, killings and insecurity issue
Many people believe that the killing of these 19 Hausa Fulanis who were believed to be herdsmen, and 9 Nigerian young vibrant soldiers, was in retaliation to the event that happened in Imo state. But that claims is vague and lack no substantial evidence as truth surrounding the barbaric act is yet to be disclosed. No investigation, concerning the issue, has been carried out as of time of filing this post. Meanwhile, Kayode Fayemi, popularly known as FFK, who is also well known for being outspoken, , always condemning bad side of the Nigerian government, a vibrant activist and former minister of aviation during former president Goodluck Jonathan regime, has quickly come out to condemn the act carried out in the Southeast and South South respectively. Irrespective of his radical nature, he is well known for speaking the truth, no matter the consequences, and he barely do so with fear. He took to his official Twitter page immediately and wrote " the targeting and unprovoked slaughter of 19 Innocent Hausa Fulanis in Anambra state today is unacceptable just as is the murder of 9 soldiers in Rivers state. I condemn both" . His statement has made it clear, that even though he supports the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, which is evident in some of his documented statements, there is still clear evidence without iota of doubt that he does not support terrorism, extremism or criminal acts of any kind. As already said earlier, people or individuals behind the two acts are yet to be uncovered. The rumor or fake news going round that it was carried out by the IPOB or members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), should be highly disregarded, pending official statement from the government and security operatives in the affected area.
